Following the end of Gunnersbury Park Bowls Club’s licence at the start of this year, Gunnersbury Estate (2026) CIC priority has been the repurposing of the bowling green area into a Putt in the Park site.
While their first application was unsuccessful, our developer partner will be re-submitting their proposal for planning permission in the immediate future, with our full backing, and we hope they will be able to open in spring 2021.
We are delighted to work with Putt in the Park as we expect this will bring 30,000 visitors annually to the park. Further, at a time where Gunnersbury Estate has lost £600k worth of income following the effects of Covid-19 and the fire at the Gunnersbury Park Café, this welcome addition to the park will bring much needed revenue to help Gunnersbury survive and thrive.
