Early Years
We welcome visits from early years groups, whether it be nursery schools, children’s centres or other early years group providers.
At set times of the year we will promote to such groups a specific early learners’ week with several fun and interactive workshops to choose from which link with different parts of the EYFS Framework. We will aim to offer both museum-based activities and outdoor learning activities in the park.

As well as organised learning sessions, we encourage self-led group visits to the museum and park but do please book in advance with the learning team so that we can check availability of spaces in case other events are booked or any spaces are due to be closed off.
For families with children aged under five who are not part of an early years group you may wish to take part in our Little Flamingos sessions or to make use of our early years trail or family trail. There is more information about these in the Families section.
