The Rothschild Rooms

On their own or used in conjunction with each other, the interconnecting Conservatory, Drawing Room, Long Gallery and Dining Room boast high ornate ceilings and stunning original architectural features.

These rooms have historically been used for entertainment, from grand balls to Rothschild weddings. Today’s space was remodelled in 1835 by Sydney Smirke for the Rothschild Family when they lived on the estate between 1835 and 1926. The grand room has classical ornamental columns adorned with golden lyres.

The Drawing Room and Conservatory

Designed to impress, this beautifully restored space welcomes guests with high ceilings and striking original features, creating an atmosphere of timeless elegance.

Full of natural light from its south facing French doors, the room opens directly onto the terrace and south lawns, creating a seamless indoor and outdoor experience for your guests.

The Dining Room

Originally created for entertaining, the Dining Room continues that tradition today. Rich wood paneling, original architectural features and an intimate atmosphere make it the perfect setting for memorable wedding breakfasts, private dining and heartfelt speeches.

Its refined character provides a beautiful contrast to the light filled Orangery, allowing couples to create a well rounded celebration that combines heritage, warmth and timeless sophistication.

The Long Gallery

Decorated in white, gold and green, the Long Gallery was one of the Rothschild family’s favourite spots. The stunning centre piece, the oval ceiling, depicts the four seasons with playful cherubs set against the sky.

Flooded with natural light and overlooking the parkland beyond, the gallery is equally suited to drinks receptions, intimate wedding breakfasts or evening celebrations. It is a space designed for gathering, conversation and unforgettable moments.
