Workshops

Whether you want your pupils to discover what life was like as a Victorian child at school or as a legionary in the Roman Imperial Army, our workshops are designed to give them real insight into the topic they are studying.

Our expertly-led, exciting and hands-on workshops are firm favourites with Key Stage 2 groups and link with different parts of the National Curriculum.

You can choose from Science, Art or History and our workshops include elements of cross curricular links. We offer both museum-based workshops and outdoor learning activities in the park.

And now introducing our NEW exciting and powerful workshop for Key Stage 2:

PEOPLES UNITE

This immersive, game-based session, sees pupils create their own fictional alien culture and then role play their community’s reaction to various discriminatory situations, based on real-life events. How will they fight against hate? Will they march in the streets?

Please note when planning your visit:

Certain times of year can get very busy, for example October/November and February/March in particular. The earlier you can contact us to book (up to a year in advance is possible as some schools do) the more chance we have of accommodating your request.

Autumn Term is the busiest time for us, and it is quite likely that the Autumn Term will be full or very nearly full up even by the start of the summer holidays and we try to respond to enquiries in the order they are sent to us.
