Living History; A Wall of Words Writing Workshop 12:00pm - 4:00pm

An interactive writing workshop and exhibition with Nomadic Libaax

Alongside the work featured by our Global Majority Artist there will be a chance for visitors to contribute to the exhibition through our interactive Wall of Words, where people can leave a message and be a part of the Living History we all make.

Visitors of the Exhibition can participate by picking one of over 20 Poetry books from Global Majority Artist on display and take part in a writing exercise to prompt visitors to:

  • Pick a book
  • Pick a word/sentence
  • Write a message/poem/story to then be pinned on the Wall/shared in the space

'Directing for Theatre' Workshop 12:30pm-2:30pm

A workshop with Poppy Clifford aimed at people in any stage of their directing journey

The workshop will cover:

  • Warming up
  • Approaching text
  • Blocking and collaborating with actors

We will be working on our feet with the hope that everyone will have a chance to put some of their learning into practice during the session.

At the end there will be a chance to ask Poppy and some of the team at Side eYe your questions.

Side eYe is on the look out for Muslim women to direct for us, so if that sounds like you, please speak to us, we’d love to meet you!

Poppy Clifford is Co-Founder and Associate Director at Side eYe Productions, most recently director of Dugsi Dayz
(Edinburgh Fringe, New Diorama & Royal Court).
