Gunnersbury - The Place and the People

Join us for an online talk exploring the history of Gunnersbury

Join James Wisdom and Val Bott, authors of Gunnersbury - The Place and the People. An important estate from the middle ages, Gunnersbury has been transformed by successive owners.

A 17th century Palladian mansion for the lawyer Sir John Maynard, refurbished and transformed in the mid 18th century by MP Henry Furnese, the home of Princess Amelia, and a home to the Rothschilds before it opened as a public park in 1926 - Gunnersbury has gone through many changes over the years. Come along to find out more!

This is a joint event between Gunnersbury Estate (2026) CIC and the Friends of Gunnersbury.
