A 17th century Palladian mansion for the lawyer Sir John Maynard, refurbished and transformed in the mid 18th century by MP Henry Furnese, the home of Princess Amelia, and a home to the Rothschilds before it opened as a public park in 1926 - Gunnersbury has gone through many changes over the years.
