Welcome to Gunnersbury Park and Museum
It’s going to be a special summer here at Gunnersbury as we celebrate the opening of our new museum. After a number of years of restoration, the museum will be open from 23 June. Entry is free, so why not pop in and explore the history of this part of west London told through the stories of its people.
There’s also a special free art exhibition featuring the work of Gertrude Hermes, one of the most innovative wood engravers and printers of the twentieth century.
If you’re looking for space to play with the family, walk the dog or simply want to feel miles away from anywhere, then our parkland is the place to head this summer. Whether you’re a sun worshipper or shade seeker, we think we’ve got some of the prettiest spots for your picnic blanket. How about a view towards the recently restored mansion, tucked away beside the wildflower meadow or with the gentle splash of the new Horseshoe Pond fountain in the background?
And there’s lots for the kids to do as well. From trails to craft activities to the simple joy of playing in the playground there’s plenty of family favourites to discover.
Our café is all set for summer too – the wood-fired pizza oven is on, drinks are chilling and of course there’s ice-cream in the freezer!
